FĪlse readings could cause people with diabetes to incorrectly treat themselves, which may cause hypoglycemia (excessively low blood glucose levels) or hyperglycemia (excessively high blood glucose levels) and risk people’s health and lives. Diabetes patients are being urgently advised to discontinue use of specific lots of Accu-Chek Aviva and Accu-Chek Performa test strips, as they may give false high or low readings.
